Irrawaddy river, a key of water transportation

The Irrawaddy River is a 2,000 km long river that runs through the center of Myanmar. It covers an area of 410,000 square kilometers and has been an important waterway since ancient times, with the ancient capitals of Bagan, Mandalay, Inwa and Zagain flourishing.
