Funny movement of Burmese marionette show
Burmese Marionette show, “Yotteh Poeie" was originally created in the 15th century and developed under the rule of King Khongphuong in the 18th century, who encouraged the performing arts, and was popular among both royalty and the common people.
"Yotteh" means "Thread Manipulation" and "Poay" means "Festival".
Yotteh-Poeie is performed to the music and singing of traditional music. The traditional puppets are moved by manipulating 13 strings and their gorgeous costumes and more than 100 movements create a unique atmosphere.
